At the end of the module, learners should be able to:

  1. Understand different methods of ethical decision-making.
  2. Develop a solid understanding of current ethical and legal issues in nursing.
  3. Identify ethical challenges in nursing, and identify legislation that can help to clarify legal questions.
  4. Recognize and utilize ethical decision-making frameworks to facilitate the identification and resolution of ethical issues.
  5. Understand moral distress, and advance support for themselves and others in addressing such distress.
