At the end of this module, learners should be able to:

  1. Identify the four key elements of risk management as applied to health care settings.
  2. Understand how risk management is developed into emergency preparedness and emergency management plans.
  3. Understand key tools in many health care emergency response situations.
    • Understand roles and responsibilities for an incident command structure.
    • Develop an understanding of the START method of mass casualty triage.
  4. Reflect on the importance of planning for and leading through recovery with resilience.
