Step 3 – Develop Remaining Modules

Step 3 the development stage

Next the Course Developer and ID team will use the representative module or prototype to design remaining modules. Communication between the Course Developer and ID team occurs often through the sharing of feedback and making needed adjustments to the course. This step takes the longest.

When is the course fully complete?

  • The finished course should have all necessary elements including,
    • syllabus (and a course schedule if that is separate)
    • content modules and associated readings/viewings complete and polished
    • assessments ready for use
  • The courses should be fully complete prior to the first day of class aside from any elements to be developed in a responsive module during delivery
  • Prior to delivery, the course will be reviewed by the ID team to assess any concerns, gaps, issues with accessibility, missing items, or reviewing copyright concerns
