Step 5 – Debrief and Next Steps

Step 5 the Debrief

ID Team and Course Developer and/or the instructor meet after the course has been delivered to discuss what worked and didn’t work.

In this review the ID Team and Course Developer will;

  • Discuss issues raised during course delivery and in student evaluations, as identified by instructor
  • ID team will provide suggestions and recommendations for possible solutions or adjustments, including
    • make modifications to assessment
    • decide if additional learning objects are required
    • make any layout or appearance changes to the course
    • assist with any addition of content

Prior to second delivery, the ID team will thoroughly review the course with a redelivery check, to ensure that there are no broken links, issues with images, changes to instructions due to changes to UR Courses, etc.

Redelivery checks will be done prior to every following delivery but following the second delivery, support will be reduced and provided by the Assistant Instructional Designers with support of the rest of the ID team.
