Online Course Development Process

Prior to accessing supports from the Flexible Learning Instructional Design Team, course developers/subject matter experts need to have received a grant from the Distance and Distributed Learning Committee (DDLC) in addition to submitting a signed letter of agreement (LOA) to Flexible Learning admin staff before course development can begin.

For more information about the detailed process and criteria for receiving a DDLC approved grant and to apply for grant money, please visit About Developing a Flexible Learning Course.

 About the Course Development Process

The course developer/subject matter expert will receive course development and delivery support from the Flexible Learning Instructional Design (ID) Team regardless of the amount of DDLC funding received. In other words, the DDLC grant does not have to be used to pay for ID Team supports. The course development and delivery processes are organized into the following five steps.
