Work Orders for Relais/Worldshare Requests-Federated College Staff
WORK ORDERS FOR RELAIS/WORDLSHARE REQUESTS – FEDEREATED COLLEGE STAFF
A work order is an internal library request to route physical materials to a specific department for internal processing. A work order sends an item to a department (marking it as not available on the shelf), where it can be managed according to internal statuses.
Interlibrary Loans Staff will place work orders on items required from Federated Colleges libraries for Interlibrary Loan Lending requests.
Federated College Procedures
- Pick from Shelf Required:
- Task List>Other Requests>Pick From Shelf
- Pick Up Request – Please note Interlibrary Loan Requests will be mixed in with patron pick from shelf requests for loans
- You can filter further by selecting Request/Process Type>Interlibrary Loan
- Send item to Interlibrary Loans using reusable bags and provided mailing tags
- Once the items is returned back to Interlibrary loans from the borrowing library staff will mark the item In Transit to the required library using the reusable bags
- When the item is received at the owning library:
- Ensure you are at “Your Library” Circulation Desk
- Fulfillment>Resource Requests>Scan in Items
Cancelling a Work Order
- If you are unable to fill the work order it can be cancelled in the system.
- On the pick from shelf request list click Cancel
- Select a reason
- Place a note as required
- Ensure Notify User is selected so the staff member who placed the request receives an email notification that the work order was cancelled
- Click Confirm
