RAPIDO CANCELLING A BORROWING REAUEST

A borrowing request may be cancelled for several reasons, such as item free online, citation information is incorrect, location not found and more.

Cancelling a Request

• Once you have determined a request cannot be filled cancel it in Alma Resource Sharing
• Click the Ellipsis (…)
• Click Cancel

• Cancellation Reason: From the Drop Down Select Reason for Cancellation
• Cancellation Note: Enter information Required for Patron
• Notify User: Ensure it is selected so an email is sent to the Patron
• Click Confirm

• Request is successfully cancelled
• Requests cancelled by staff move to: Closed> Borrowing Completed

• Note requests can also be cancelled via the Change status option, however depending on the options chosen the request may remain open, see Rapido Changing the Status of a Borrowing Request
